Clark Richert: A Retrospective

13 February 2010 Categories: News

A career retrospective ranks among the highest tributes the art world can pay to one of its luminaries. Few Colorado artists are more deserving of such a treatment than Clark Richert, 68, who — a strong case can be made — is the state’s most important living painter, The Denver Post reports.

“Clark Richert: 1960s to Present”
Art. Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, 1600 Pierce St., Lakewood. This retrospective exhibition pays tribute to one of Colorado’s leading artists, with 17 works — primarily paintings — dating from 1961 to the present. Through March 12. Noon to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Free. 303-225-8575 or rmcad.edu/gallery-exhibitions
